I refuse to cry.
I've done enough of that
In these recent times.

  1. Sapphire sorrows,
    Dripping from your eyes
    Do not blind but stain,
    Washing away some pain
Freely flowing down to your heart.

    In pain,
When knives set on your soul
    Let them flow,
    They shall cleanse,
    If but left alone.

    Though I am far,
    I am ever near.
    Reach out your soul
    Forever I am here.
    Let blessed teardrops flow,
    From you to me.
    Let me take your sorrows,
    My soul is free.

    Let not your heart harden;
    Phantom fears let not in.
    My arms are 'round you,
    Comfort I hope therein.
    I dream of your sorrows,
I wish they were not so.
    But when they come,
    Let the sapphire heart-aches
    Fall as to cleanse.
    I pray to God:
    Never must they flow.

    1. I celebrate
      And I welcome the rain
      I make for myself
      As sorrows slowly
      Wash away,
      Put into perspective
      By the words of another.
      Oh how I welcome him
      That reminds me that sadness
Is human and I will survive.

Thus I pray that they flow
      And flow freely
For then the stains wash away
      And ah,
I must now drop to my knees,
      Penitent in thankfulness
For one who would stop my sorrows.
