A Poet's Dying Breath
Monday, April 21, 2014
As I glance at the daffodils
That yesterday were bright yellow
Yet today are faded,
I am reminded of the old truth
"Nothing gold can stay."
For flowers all fade,
Gathered by Time
To be kept in an ageless,
Aging bouquet.
